Book Review: Hani and Ishu’s Guide to Fake Dating

Lemons can be used as a gentle and efficient way to clean your house, but excessive scrubbing can damage wood floors. Before cleaning, always test a small area with your damp cloth to make sure it won’t damage the surface.

1. Carpet

Cleaning your carpet is simple. You can use a bucket of hot water, a solution of water and a tiny bit of vinegar, or even an air freshener. Make sure to put the vinegar solution in a bucket and fill it right up to the rim with water before you start, as vinegar is corrosive and will eat away at the metal rim of the bucket.

The easiest method is to use a mixture of water and a bit of vinegar, or White House All-Purpose Spray. Each container states whether it is suitable for the carpet or other hard surfaces. The White House All-Purpose Spray is specially formulated for cleaning any hard surface, the carpet included, for as low as $6 a bottle.

If you have a heavy-duty cleaning machine, you can use the water-only method as well. Do not pour cleaning product directly into the machine, though, as it can damage its internal parts. Instead, put a cup of water into the machine, and pour the cleaning product into the cup, and then pour the mixture back into the machine.

If the spills are all gone, you can spritz the area with a mixture of water and vinegar. The downside to this method is that it will leave streaks on the surface, but you will not have to worry about spilling anything on the carpet. For extra-dark carpets, you can spray the area with a stain-preventing product.

2. Furniture

You can clean most types of furniture using the same method as cleaning the carpet. For a sensitive surface, consider using a mildew-fighting spray instead. Make sure to test a small area first to make sure the surface doesn’t get scratched.

There are several ways you can clean up your furniture. Because you are going to be using a mixture of water, vinegar and cleaning product, make sure you have an adequate supply. If you have a strong vacuum, you can use it to suck up the residue on the surface.

3. Tile

While you can simply wet a cloth and wipe down a tile floor, it is best to start from the top. Use a sponge to wet the top of the floor, wipe it clean, and
You think you know what you want

Dating apps have changed all this, since they leave the whole sloppily long-distance lovemaking thing up to you. Want to kiss in the rain? Go for it. Want to meet at 6pm at a playground? Well, I guess you’ll just have to drive to the playground.

Think about what you want out of a date. Do you want to relax and have a good time? Do you want to have sex? Are you looking for a relationship? Figure out what you want, and what you want and what you want. Then figure out the best way to get there.

Text first, of course

I understand that texting is how we communicated before the invention of LOLCats. I even get that many of us use texting to plan an elaborate, romantic date night out. But if you’re looking to date someone in the real world, the general advice is that you should text first.

The reason for this is because a lot of people don’t have time to talk on the phone. Ask your parents if they remember a time when they had to call someone they were interested in and had to wait for them to call them back. Or, if you’re choosing to use an app, make sure the person you’re contacting has the same timezone.

Make your profile simple and up to date

I know, I know. I’m a millennial and I’m quite the fan of your social media presence, but consider how many people are on a date a week, and how many people are on your dating profile a week. (Or a day, depending.) You don’t want to be on every site—that would be confusing. Be up to date with your relationship status and any other information that you want to be clear about. Also, try to avoid writing things like:

Current location:

Current hair color:

Current occupation:

This sort of thing is fine if it’s about your hobbies or your passions, but it’s not cool if you’re trying to make a good first impression. When I meet people, and they don’t tell me where they grew up or what they do for a living, I know I’m going to be uncomfortable. The same goes for people who can’t keep up with their profile in terms of dating.
